It’s finally the weekend 🔥
I spent the last week getting the full NORMIE manuscript ready to send to my editor.
Mission accomplished on that front. I’m hoping to have physical copies ready to go on Amazon once the final chapter is sent to you all. There will no doubt be some changes to make before then, but for now I’m going to start working on my next novel. 👀
I’ve put together a collection of some entertaining and insightful things I’ve read and watched recently.
Relax, grab a coffee, and scroll through the best of this past week.
From The Web:
This 𝕏 post of a Norman Rockwell illustration reminded everyone of the books they read as a kid. Rockwell’s artwork is truly timeless.
George Lucas hasn’t done many interviews since selling Disney back in 2012, but he recently sat down with Brut. at the Cannes Film Festival.
The most interesting part of the interview is at the 5:28 mark when he talks about the future of AI in filmmaking.
Book Recommendation:
Last month I read “Metamorphosis” by Frank Kafka.
If you’re unfamiliar with the novel, it’s about a man who wakes up one morning to find that he’s been turned into a bug. Despite the wild premise, it’s a fantastic story that will leave you thinking. Originally published in German, it’s a shorter novel that can be read in a few sittings.
Writing Resources:

If you’re looking to independently publish your books, Sean Dollwet is the best resource that I’ve found to learn the process.
The titles and thumbnails are definitely geared for the YouTube algorithm, but the content itself is very helpful.
Here is his starter guide for beginners:
In Case You Missed It:
On Wednesday I published the fifth chapter of NORMIE, my dystopian novel.
As always, you can read it for free. Or start from Chapter 1.
