You made it to the weekend. 🔥
Hopefully you’ve got plans to enjoy the summer weather.
For now, I’ve put together a collection of some entertaining and insightful things I’ve read and watched recently.
Relax, grab a coffee, and scroll through the best of this past week.
From The Web:
This artwork of a young Napoleon studying late at night has been going viral on X.
“Napoleon at Brienne” was created by Jacques Marie Gaston Onfroy de Breville.
I stumbled across a 1993 interview with Michael Crichton, author of Jurassic Park. I’ve been a fan of Crichton since high school, but was struck by how lucidly he described his creative process.
Around the 9:22 mark he even describes his vision of our future society, which seems to have come to true:
I think that we live in a society in which many different groups are seeking, scrambling over each other and seemly fashioned to declare themselves the greatest victims.
Book Recommendation:
Did you know ‘Apocalypse Now’ was based on a book?
It’s a classic by Joseph Conrad called ‘Heart of Darkness.’
I just read the story for the first time. It’s definitely worth checking out, especially if your a fan of the film.
