The craziness of Bangkok, Thailand can get to you.
Sometimes you need to step away for a bit.
There are several options if you want solitude, but let’s head to the most famous one.
Let’s explore Lumpini Park.

Focus on my writing
Last week I shared my writing experience in Bangkok’s unbelievable malls.
Despite being located right in downtown Bangkok, Lumpini Park feels like a different world.
You feel totally removed from the chaos of the city.
It’s a great place to take a walk and collect your thoughts.

Lumpini Park’s famous outdoor gym:
And yes, there were people actually using the gym…
After walking around for a while, I decided to stop and get a drink.
I chose guava juice… it’s excellent.
Then I found this gazeebo and thought I’d get out of the sun.
I set up my video camera to film a timelapse, but the view got blocked…
A crowd formed after someone spotted a bunch of monitor lizards hanging out under the gazeebo.
The lizards also needed a bit of refuge from the heat.
I wasn’t able to get a great photo myself, but here’s what they look like:
Yep.
You often see these dragons wandering around in the park.
Thailand is a wild place.
I managed to get a little bit of work done on my novel while sitting in the shade.
I do my outlining and first draft in a notebook, then move to a computer for the rest of the process.
Bangkok is a great place to lock in and work on a book.
Next week I’ll share my Bangkok writing routine, so make sure you’re subscribed:
